Essential free software guide for your new PC

Today, I'm going to list down a list of essential softwares that are essential for your PC but won't cost you a dime. They are as good as any paid software and combining all of them will give you a hassle free computing experience. If you are buying a new computer and want to set it up for the first time, this list might come handy. Some of the images are taken from other websites and the credit goes to the respective owners.

Finally! The D-Day comes. S. P. Jain PGPM result.

Since September end, the only thing I was doing when sitting in front of the computer was refreshing pagalguy and Gmail simultaneously. As 30th September passed, I stopped. There was very low chance of getting in as almost all the invites have already been sent!

My project work was going good as the delivery was done and I was doing some documentation for past two weeks. Everyday, to reduce the tension, I started watching TV serials starting with Big bang theory, How I met your mother, Homeland, Revolution and what not.

As Oct 2 passed, I lost all hope. Pagalguy was showing queries about the final list. Some people posted that AdCom has mentioned that those shortlisted have already been notified. Sigh. I started looking at ISB thread. My next target! This is the third time I am being rejected by S. P. Jain.

So I opened Netflix to watch some random movie. Scanned through the entire collection and clicked on the disaster movie. Those who haven't seen it yet, here's the trailer.

The sheer stupidity of the film had eased my anxiety. It is really a disaster movie! I continued to watch for almost one hour. As my mind and consciousness started going into level 3 inception, I heard a ding sound in laptop. I looked at the tabs of Chrome and the Gmail tab had a Inbox(1) in it.

"Must be another crappy ICICIDirect or Hult Business School advertisement". I ignored it first, then clicked it anyway.

And there it was - "Admission Offer".

"Dear Prithwish (***0 -IM)

We are happy to inform you that you have been selected for the PGPM Program 2013-2014. It is subject to verification of your GMAT score from the GMAC site."

My heart skipped a bit. Finally, I've made it! I read it again and again. Took some time to sink in. Then called up my parents to give them the good news! Called up a few friends as well.

Finally I made it to a tier 1 MBA college. A new beginning awaits.
